A lead-free glass frit with a low-temperature softening point and a display panel sealing composition containing the same are provided to reduce the amount of high-priced Bi2O3 consumed without the use of lead, thereby securing high profitability. A lead-free glass frit with a low-temperature softening point for display panel sealing comprises 10-20mol% of Bi2O3, 25-40mol% of B2O3, 15-25mol% of ZnO, 10-20mol% of SiO2, 5-15mol% of Na2CO3 and 1-6mol% of Al2O3 on a basis of oxides. The softening point of the lead-free glass frit is 500°C or less. A glass composition for display panel sealing comprises 90-97wt% of the lead-free glass frit and 3-10wt% of ceramic filler. The ceramic filler is selected from the group consisting of cordierite, zircon, zirconia, alumina and their mixture. |
