An autonomous system comprises a plurality of routers within a packet transmission network, respective links joining the routers according to a topology of routers. At the level of a first router (rout1) of the autonomous system which is joined to a second router (rout2), for a route exiting the autonomous system through an exit router (routout), a path is determined (41) between the second router and the exit router according to performance criteria.
