PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating film having biodegradability, effective barrier property and/or sealing property and thereby suitable for use in a packaging applications.SOLUTION: There is provided a coating film containing a practically biodegradable substrate with a biodegradable coating at 12 gsm or less of coating weight on a surface and having thickness of less than 100 μm. There is provided a useful article sealed in a package including the film at least partially. There is provided a method for manufacturing the coating film including the steps for preparing the practically biodegradable film substrate and applying the biodegradable coating at less than 12 gsm of the coating weight to the substrate through a hot melt coating step. There is provided a coating film having the coating weight of preferably less than 10 gsm, further preferably less than 9 gsm, especially preferably less than 8 gsm.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
