The present invention relates to an organo polysiloxane elastomer having: a group that has siloxane dendron structure bonded to a silicon atom; and a cross-linked structure comprising carbon-silicon bonds in the cross-linked portions. The present invention also relates to an organo polysiloxane elastomer modified with a glycerin derivative and having: a group that has a siloxane dendron structure bonded to a silicon atom; a hydrophilic group bonded to a different silicon atom than the aforementioned silicon atom; and a cross-linked structure comprising carbon-silicon bonds in the cross-linked portions. This organo polysiloxane elastomer exhibits, for example, compatibility with various oils, superior structuring properties and gelling properties. The organo polysiloxane elastomer also has an excellent texture, in particular a thick, velvety smoothness with no feeling of stickiness from the initial application until drying is complete, as well as providing excellent cosmetic effects such as a wrinkle-concealing effect (masking effect). |
