PURPOSE: A washing machine and a control method are provided to automatically put a rinse and to indicate the states of supplying and stopping supplying of the rinse onto an indicating unit. CONSTITUTION: The washing machine comprises: a power input unit(51) for inputting power; a manipulating unit(13) for inputting a signal from the outside; a control unit(50) for controlling a rinse valve(39) and the indicating unit according to the manipulating signal input from the outside; a rinse outflow pipe communicated with a rinse container; a rinse valve for controlling the flow of the rinse, installed in a working area of the rinse outflow pipe. |
