PURPOSE: A washing machine is provided to obtain a stable braking power by reducing the changing element in the outer surface of a brake drum by a surface processing of a laminating. CONSTITUTION: The washing machine has: a casing(10) of a square tub-type; a top cover(15) in the upper part of the casing(10); a door(12) for the incoming and the outcoming of the washing in the top cover(15); a water supply pipe(14) formed in a pair to generally supply the hot water and the cold water in the rear of the door(12); a corrosion-resisting material layer laminated in the outer surface of a brake drum contacted with a brake bane(54); an inner abrasion material layer laminated on the layer of the corrosion-resisting material layer.
