Method for safety oriented activation of an actuator

The method involves generating one and another dynamic signal with different frequencies (f1,f2) by a microprocessor (1) for the control of the actuator (10), which are supplied to a band-pass filter (2) or a high-pass filter (3). The former dynamic signal has a frequency, which is smaller than the minimum band-pass frequency (f11) of the band-pass filter and the latter dynamic signal has a frequency. The disconnection of the actuator takes place by the signals (f1',f2') received from the band-pass filter and the high-pass filter within a pre-determined time in the event of fault. An independent claim is also included for a device for safety-oriented control of an actuator.
