PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a compound having a 2,3-difluorohydroquinone skeleton having an alkenyl group as a side chain. SOLUTION: A trans, trans-4-(dialkoxymethyl)bicyclohexyl-4-ylmethanol derivative represented by formula (4) can be produced by the steps shown in the scheme. A compound having a 2,3-difluorohydroquinone skeleton having an alkenyl group as a side chain can be efficiently produced by using the method for producing and the production intermediate.
