PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly hold down a vibrator of an electrostatic loud speaker. SOLUTION: In an electrostatic loud speaker 1, a vibrator 10 is supported by fiber layers 25C implanted in electrodes 20U, 20L, and a fiber 25D of the fiber layer 25C supports the surface and the back surface of the vibrator 10 in a twisted state. When a potential difference corresponding to an acoustic signal is generated between the electrode 20U and the electrode 20L, an electrostatic force is applied to the vibrator 10 to make the vibrator 10 displaced according to an acoustic signal. The fiber 25D has an elastic force causing it to return to an original shape (linear). The fiber layer 25C is disposed regularly on a support layer 25 so that a force to push back the vibrator 10 where a plurality of the fiber layers 25C are displaced becomes a uniform force at each fiber layer 25C. When the force is applied to the vibrator 10 by the fiber layer 25C is uniform, there hardly occurs a variation of displacement at the displaced vibrator 10 so that the acoustic signal is correctly regenerated when the acoustic signal is inputted.
