<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise control system capable of grasping the accurate number of stock and quickly displaying information about merchandises. <P>SOLUTION: A show case 200 comprises merchandise shelves 201, a compact antenna capable of communicating with RFID tags of merchandises arranged on a front end side of the merchandise shelves 201, a large antenna capable of communicating with the RFID tags of all the merchandises on the merchandise shelves 201, and a reader-writer for reading out an inherent number by always communicating with the RFID tags through the small antenna and communicating with the RFID tags through the large antenna per a predetermined time and for, when a merchandise is taken out of the merchandise shelf 201, detecting the inherent number corresponding to the merchandise among the inherent numbers read through the small antenna.
