In the present invention, stress that acts on loop seams is relieved, and deployment performance is not compromised. A curtain airbag (1) is disposed on a roof side rail and is deployed, in an emergency, so as to cover a side window section of a vehicle from the vehicle interior. An outer peripheral part, excluding an inflator gas introduction part (1a), of a first base cloth (2) serving as a vehicle outer-side panel and a second base cloth (3) serving as a vehicle inner-side panel is joined to a first seam (4). Slits (8) are provided only to the second base cloth (3) positioned at an inner side, isolated from chambers (1b-1g), of loop seams (7a-7g) provided at prescribed positions on a second seam (5) that joins the first seam (4), a third seam (6) that is separated from the first seam (4), and the first seam (4) which all serve to form the chambers (1b-1g) constituting a passenger protection part. |
