The present invention relates to an imaging lens and an imaging apparatus including the same capable of providing a high resolution image. The imaging lens of the invention are sequentially arranged from an object side of an imaging apparatus to an upper side of an imaging apparatus, comprising: a first lens having negative refractive power; a second lens having positive refractive power and a convex object side surface; a fourth lens having a convex upper side surface; and a fifth lens having an inflection point on the upper side surface thereof. Also, imaging lens of the invention satisfies the following conditions. 2.1 < f < 2.8Dp5s2i-Dp5s2m< 0.74 Herein, f is a focal distance of the imaging lens and Dp5s2i is an optical axis distance between the upper side surface of the fifth lens and the upper surface of the fifth lens, Dp5s2m is a distance of an optical axis direction between an optical axis point of the fifth lens and the most convex peak point of the upper side surface of the fifth lens.
