1. An image processing apparatus comprising:
one or more processors; and a memory storing a program which, when executed by the processors, causes the image processing apparatus to function as: an acquiring unit configured to acquire an image signal; a generating unit configured to perform enhancement processing on the image signal to generate a first image and a second image; a detecting unit configured to detect a brightness of the image signal; a synthesizing unit configured to generate a synthetic image with the first image used in a region having a first brightness and the second image used in a region having a second brightness lower than the first brightness; and a recording unit configured to record the synthetic image on a recording medium, wherein the generating unit is configured to perform the enhancement processing such that the second image is more enhanced than the first image, and wherein: the recording unit is configured to record an image signal corresponding to the second image on the recording medium in a case where a brightness detected by the detecting unit is a third brightness, and the recording unit is configured to record an image signal corresponding to the synthetic image on the recording medium in a case where a brightness detected by the detecting unit is a fourth brightness lower than the third brightness. |
