The present invention relates to an image processing method and an image processing apparatus for separating a wound from a skin. According to the present invention, the image processing method includes the steps of: generating a feature image by applying a linear algorithm to an original image of a certain part of a user; extracting energy of the original image by using the generated feature image; and dividing the original image into a wound area and a skin area by using the extracted energy of the original image. According to the present invention, accurate information can be provided when a wound healing process is determined by dividing the wound.
