<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator control device capable of performing highly efficient operation by permitting waiting passengers to securely get on. <P>SOLUTION: With this control device, an elevator control device body 1 detects an occupying space of a car floor according to a signal from a sensor positioned at a car 3 and determines a occupying space tolerance by comparing information of presence of a predetermined occupying space tolerance with the occupying space.
