PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top-emission type light emitting apparatus in which band narrowing of emission spectrum or an increase in an emitted light volume is achieved. SOLUTION: The light emitting apparatus includes a substrate 11, a light reflecting layer 13 which is formed on the substrate 11 and reflects light, a transparent electrode 14 which is formed on the light reflecting layer 13 and transmits light, a light emitting layer 14 which is formed on the transparent electrode 14 and emits light, a semi-reflecting electrode 16 which is formed on the light emitting layer 15 and transmits a part of light from the light emitting layer 15 and reflects other part of the light, and a conductive semi-reflecting layer 17 which is formed on the semi-reflecting electrode 16 and transmits a part of light from the semi-reflecting electrode and reflects other part of the light. The semi-reflecting electrode 16 has a work function of 4 electron volts or less and the conductive semi-reflecting layer 17 is made of a metal material (for example, silver) having a reflectance of light higher than the semi-reflecting electrode 16.
