PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tablet which serves as a more inexpensive, simpler and easier alternative to a conventional chemical-dosing pump for continuously dosing water-soluble drugs for a long time in small quantities. SOLUTION: The sustained-release, long-acting, water-soluble tablet is provided through forming a tablet from a water-soluble, powdery drug and coating its surface with a water-resistant, water-permeable coating. Its preparation method is also provided. The coating film is a porous film-forming substance of a hydrophilic organic polymer, and the porous film-forming substance is prepared by applying a dispersion of a self-condensing polyacrylic acid prepolymer or a powder thereof to the surface of the tablet and forming a film.
