PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perfume composition for a softening agent, which exerts an improved softening effect. SOLUTION: The perfume composition comprises at least one perfume material chosen from each of groups (A), (B), (C) and (D), provided that group (A) comprises 5-cyclohexadecen-1-one etc., group (B) comprises vanillin etc., group (C) comprises 3α,6,6,9α-tetramethyldodecahydronaphtho[2,1-b]furan etc., and group (D) comprisesγ-undecalactone etc. The mass ratios of the perfume materials chosen from groups (B), (C) and (D) to the perfume material(s) chosen from group (A) is 0.005-1.2, 0.01-1.5 and 0.2-4.5, respectively.
