PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller incorporating a motor which can smoothly discharge heat generated from the motor in the roller body. SOLUTION: The roller 1 incorporating a motor has a motor 5 in the roller body 2. A heat dissipation member 30 is fixed to the outer circumferential surface 25 of the motor 5. The heat dissipation member 30 has a recess touching the outer circumferential surface 25, and a protrusion extending to the vicinity of the inner circumferential surface 4 of the roller body 2. The heat dissipation member 30 has a thermal conductivity sufficiently higher than that of air. When heat is generated as the motor 5 is operated, that heat is transmitted toward the inner circumferential surface 4 side of the roller body 2 and discharged to the outside thereof.
