PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an operating speed of a cyclic DAC. SOLUTION: A D/A converter is provided with first and second capacitors (112 and 111) whose one-ends are connected to voltage nodes corresponding to "0" and whose capacity ratio is 1:2<SP>n</SP>-1(wherein, n is an integer of 2 or more), a first switch (114) which is connected between the other end of the first capacitor and the other end of the second capacitor, a second switch (113) which is connected to the other end of the second capacitor and becomes conductive while the first switch is not conductive, and a voltage supplying circuit (116) which receives a digital value for D/A conversion in n bits sequentially from a LSB and applies a voltage corresponding to the digital value of n bits to the second capacitor through the second switch.
