Photosensitive microelectronic device with avalanche multipliers

The device has a set of elementary cells arranged according to a matrix, where one of the cells is provided with a photosensitive zone (110) for capturing photons and for converting the photons into electrons. Electronic avalanche multiplier produces a large number of electrons than the number of electrons converted by the zone through electronic avalanche during a multiplication cycle of the electrons. The multiplier is formed by a set of gate electrodes. Outer control circuit (150) provides control signals to control gates (G1-G3) of the multiplier.
