A light source for plant growth according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a red light source having a peak wavelength in the range of 630-690 nm and a near-infrared light source having a peak wavelength in the range of 700-750 nm at a ratio of 1:0.1-2. The use of the present invention can promote the growth of seedlings more efficiently even when the same amount of energy is used in plant growth facilities using artificial illumination.
