Provided are methods and compositions for preventing, reducing, mitigating and treating pain, particularly neuropathic pain by the combined administration of an agent that increases EETs and an agent that reduces/inhibits endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress. In one aspect, provided are methods of preventing, reducing, ameliorating, mitigating, inhibiting and/or reversing pain in a subject in need thereof. In some embodiments, the methods comprise co-administering to the subject an agent that increases the production and/or level of epoxygenated fatty acids and an inhibitor of endoplasmic reticulum stress. In varying embodiments, the pain comprises inflammatory pain. In varying embodiments, the pain comprises neuropathic pain. |
