Provided is a knot-forming device with which it is possible to automatically form knots by a simple procedure. Through the operation of a first moving member 48a, a second moving member 48b, a first needle-switching mechanism 24a, and a second needle-switching mechanism 24b, a loop of a string-shaped member (ligated member) L held by a second arm 14b, i.e., a first loop-holding member, and a first position at which a first holding member of the first needle-switching mechanism 24a is held, are made to undergo relative movement, changing the positional relationship between the loop and the first position on a first path. A knot such that a loop closed between a second position and a third position of the string-shaped member L is formed can be automatically produced. After the knot has been produced, two locations in the string-shaped member L to either side of the knot are each held away from the first arm 14a and the second arm 14b, and the knot can therefore be tightened at an angle of close to 180 degrees by pulling at a fourth position side. |
