Provided is an absorbent article which can be fitted to the body of a wearer, and does not impart a feeling of discomfort to the wearer upon unfolding the folded absorbent article. The absorbent article (1) has a pair of wing sections (1w, 1w) extending in the widthwise direction, and the two wing sections (1w, 1w) have adhesive sections (40w, 40w) on the rear-surface sheet (30) side thereof. An absorbent body (10) is provided with a folding guide part (LB) that guides in a manner such that folding occurs, projects toward the skin side in the thickness direction, and is oriented in the lengthwise direction. The folding guide part (LB) is at least provided in the region in the lengthwise direction where the adhesive sections (40w, 40w) are provided. The absorbent article (1) is further provided with a plurality of folding parts (1f, 1f) oriented in the widthwise direction, for the purpose of folding with a surface sheet (20) toward the inside. The folding parts (1f, 1f) are not provided in the region in the lengthwise direction where the adhesive sections (40w, 40w) are positioned. At least one folding part is provided on one side in the lengthwise direction relative to the region where the adhesive sections (40w, 40w) are positioned, and at least one folding part is provided on the other side in the lengthwise direction relative to the region where the adhesive sections (40w, 40w) are positioned. |
