A surface cleaning apparatus compris a main body (12, fig 7) with an axis A, a first wheel 14 and a second wheel 16. The main body houses a suction motor 140, a chamber 100 for receiving dirt and a first cyclonic separator device 110 with a dirt outlet 113 in communication with the chamber 100 for receiving dirt, wherein the axis A of the main body passes through all three of the suction motor 140, the chamber 100 for receiving dirt and the first cyclonic separator device 110 and an axis of a rotor of the motor 140 is generally parallel and/or coaxial with the rotational axis of one or both of the wheels 14,16 and/or the axis A of the main body. |
