PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purification apparatus which removes foreign matter floating in water, and more effectively purifies water.SOLUTION: In a water purification apparatus 100, a housing 10 has a buoyancy for floating on the water surface L and is provided with a suction port and discharge port 22 of water. Water flow generating means generates a water flow sucked from the suction port and discharged from the discharged port 22. A filter 40 is installed between the suction port and the discharge port 22. A light emitting element 64 is installed between the suction port and the discharge port 22 and irradiates ultraviolet light to water passing through the filter 40. A hydroplane 80 is installed as submerging means for moving from a state of floating on the water surface L to a state of being submerged into water. A lower suction port 36 installed in a bottom part 32 and an upper suction port 20 installed in a side part 16 and at a water surface position in the floating state may be installed. |
