The door has a door leaf (2) swingable around a vertical axis (A) by a hinge arranged within an area of a side of the door leaf (2). The door leaf (2) is open at its side opposite to the hinge. The door leaf does not stand in contact with a frame unit or another door leaf in a closing position. The hinge has a brake mechanism to generate a mechanical resistance against the swiveling of the door leaf (2), where the resistance generated by the mechanism is adjustable. The brake mechanism has a bearing ring encompassing a hinge pin of the leaf, where the ring is braced against the pin. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a shower partition comprising a shower door (2) a shower cubicle comprising a shower door.
