PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope, which keeps a requested bending performance even when downsized. SOLUTION: The endoscope 1 comprises a bending part 3 provided on the tip side of an insertion part 2, and a drive part 5 to generate an axial force for the bending operation of the bending part 3 by inflowing an air (fluid). A plurality of inelastic fiber members of almost a certain longitudinal length are buried in the drive part 5 that includes a tube member 26 to be inflown with the air therein and dilated, and a control part 27 to control a part of dilation of the tube member 26.
