TRANSMISSION LINE CONVERTER

A transmission line converter that allows downsizing of a rectangular waveguide disposed inferior to a transmission line. The transmission line converter is one comprising rectangular waveguide (11); slot (5) provided in a wall surface of the rectangular waveguide (11); and transmission line (13) consisting of ground conductor (4) and signal conductors (2,3) extending in the direction of tube axis of the rectangular waveguide (11), wherein the slot (5) is provided in a narrow wall surface of the rectangular waveguide (11) and has such a configuration that the center portion thereof has a zone oblique to the tube axis of the rectangular waveguide (11), at least one of two edge portions of the oblique zone having a portion parallel to the tube axis of the rectangular waveguide (11), and wherein in the rectangular waveguide (11), the wall surface provided with the slot (5) constitutes portion of the ground conductor (4).
