PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact output device capable of detecting an error connection of an output circuit. SOLUTION: In a contact output circuit 20a, the power supply (+)E is connected to a restoration contact R12 of an output relay RY1 through a semiconductor switch SW1 and a resistor Rg12, and the power supply (-)E is connected to a restoration contact R11 of the output relay RY1 through a current sensor CS1 and a resistor Rg11. In the contact output circuit 20b, similar connection is made. A control part 11 controls switching on and off of the semiconductor switches SW1, SW2 at the time of switch-off control of the output relays RY1, RY2, and judges existence and location of an error connection by comparing the current value flowing at that time with a theoretical current value at the time of a normal operation and the error connection occurrence time.
