PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a connector in which a fall-off force cannot be applied by eliminating a collision between contacts when fit to partner connectors, and in which the deterioration of impedance is reduced by making the contact face of the contact and an insulator small. SOLUTION: A fitting part 9 protruding from a base body 8 of the insulator 1 in a fitting direction is integrally installed. The contact 2 holds so that the lower face and both side faces of the contact part 5 of the contact may not contact with the insulator of the fitting part 9 at a contact through hole 12 of the base body 8 in its holding part 7, and at the tip 10 of the fitting part 9. At the tip 10 of the fitting part 9 in its tip holding 6, the tip 10 covers the tip 6 of the contact part 5, and its outer face is made to have a round curved line in cross-sectional shape seen from a side face.
