PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a suspicious location causing fluctuation of a clock in a network.SOLUTION: A monitoring device for monitoring a plurality of communication devices performing slave synchronization in a network comprises an acquisition unit, a calculation unit, and an identification unit. The acquisition unit acquires information showing phase difference between a first clock supplied from a clock source or another communication device and used for receiving data and a second clock used for processing the received data, for each communication device of the plurality of communication devices. The calculation unit calculates difference between first phase difference acquired from a first communication device of the plurality of communication devices and second phase difference acquired from a second communication device connected to the first communication device through a transmission channel. The identification unit sequentially refers to the difference in descending order of hierarchical relation of slave synchronization from the high-order side, and identifies the first communication device and the second communication device corresponding to difference equal to or larger than a predetermined threshold, and a transmission channel connecting the first communication device and the second communication device as a suspicious location causing fluctuation of a clock. |
