PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure pump capable of preventing a plunger stopper from being resistance against fuel flow, and simplifying a manufacturing process in mounting the plunger stopper.SOLUTION: As a plunger stopper 31 is mounted on an inner wall side of a cylinder hole forming portion 14 by fitting a side wall 313 to an inner wall of a fitting hole 151 of the cylinder hole forming portion 14, it is not interfered with a cylindrical passage 17. Thus the plunger stopper is prevented from being a resistance against flow of fuel flowing between a variable volume chamber 16 and a volume chamber passage 19 in an intake stroke and a quantity adjusting stroke. Further as a fitting hole 151 of the cylinder hole forming portion 14 is formed into the step shape at a mouth of a cylinder hole 11, processing can be simplified. Furthermore, a work for fitting and assembling the side wall 313 of the plunger stopper 31 to an inner wall of the fitting hole 151 is simplified. Thus a manufacturing process of a high pressure pump is reduced, and a yield rate can be improved. |
