PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase transition medium having high contract and high sensitivity. SOLUTION: In a phase transition recording medium in which recording is carried out by thermally changing the crystalline state of a recording layer provided through a dielectric layer on a polycarbonate substrate to change an optical reflectance, a reflection layer is provided on the recording layer and the reflection layer consists of Al1-x Mx (wherein M is at least one element selected from Ta, Ti, Zr, V, Pt, Mo and Cr and x is a number of 0.01 to 0.15) to form the phase transition recording medium. |
