摘要 A metal magnetic body has a lower withstand voltage than ferrite, and as a result, the withstand voltage in some sections becomes smaller than that of a body formed of ferrite, such sections being a section in which the potential difference between external terminals of a layered body and conductor patterns is large, a section in which the distance between the external terminals and the conductor patterns is small, and a section in which the distance between one external terminal and another external terminal is small. In addition to the external terminals being formed on an end surface and four surfaces adjacent to the end surface, the distance between the external terminals and the conductor patterns is more likely to become shorter due to displacement or bleeding of the printing position of the conductor patterns, displacement of the cutting position of the layered body, and the like, and as a result, large fluctuations in withstand voltage characteristics occur, and breakage occurs when a high voltage is applied. If the surface of the layered body is covered by a ceramic material or the like, proportional to the amount of the covering, the volume of the layered body and the cross-sectional area of the wound portion of a coil must be made smaller, and the desired inductance and DC-superposition characteristics cannot be ensured. In the present invention, magnetic body layers and conductor patterns are stacked, the conductor patterns between the magnetic body layers are connected, and a coil is thereby formed in the resultant stacked body. The magnetic body layers are formed of a metal magnetic body. The coil is connected to an external terminal formed at the bottom surface of the layered body, such connection being made via a conductor in which at least one lead-out conductor pattern is formed at a corner section of the layered body.
