A packaging dispenser (1), for dispensing stacks of nested trays (13A-G) to a packing device (D), has a frame (3), a first conveyor (7) for conveying and supportinga first plurality of stacks of nested trays (13A-E) in a first level, and a second conveyor (9A, 9B) downstream of the first conveyor (7) for receiving stacks ofnested trays (13F, 13G) from the first conveyor (7). The packaging dispenser (1) also includes a vertical chute (29) underneath the second conveyor (9A, 9B) for dispensing stacks of nested trays (13G) to a packing device (D). The second conveyor (9A, 9B) has a pair of laterally spaeed conveyor elements for supporting only lateral edge regionsof a stack of nested trays (13F). The laterally spaeed conveyor elements (9A, 9B) are retractable to allow a stack ofnested trays (13F, 13G), supported thereon, to be released into the chute (29). |
