A rotor (20) of this electric motor is provided with a rotor magnet (10) which is formed around a rotor shaft (1) integrally with the rotor shaft (1), and a position detection magnet (11) which is attached to one axial end of the rotor magnet (10). The rotor magnet (10) comprises a pedestal (7) provided on the end facing the position detection magnet (11) and a protrusion (5) provided on the pedestal (7) and provided with a gate (6) for molding. On the other end of the rotor magnet (10), at least as many concave portions (16) are provided as there are protrusions (5).
