METHOD FOR INCREASING CONTRAST RATIO OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL USING ASYMMETRIC SUSTAIN VOLTAGE

PURPOSE: A method is provided to improve contrast ratio of plasma display using asymmetric sustain voltage. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: generating address signal voltage to each pixel, adjusting voltages of first and second sustain discharge electrode so as to one voltage is lower than the other voltage among a voltage of the first sustain discharge electrode and a voltage of the second sustain discharge electrode. Thereby, black screen is more dark and it is possible to adjust contrast of white screen by operating of discharge sustain.
