PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and secure the follow-up performance with respect to the opening/closing operation, and further to keep on changing the lift amount of an engine valve while improving the reliability and durability of a drive means. SOLUTION: A first connecting portion 61a of a first link arm 61 and a second connecting portion 62a of a second link arm 62 are connected in parallel to a cam follower 63 in a relatively rotatable manner.
