The add-on component is especially a component part in the interior of motor vehicles and has contact surfaces for at least one other component. The contact surface of at least one of the involved components is coated with an almost abrasion-resistant low-friction covering by the application of a lacquer which is formed from a solid lubricant, a binder, and a solvent. The lacquer contains polyethylene oxide combined with a fluoropolymer and synthetic wax. An independent claim is included for a method for the applying of a lacquer on the contact surface of a component, whereby the component is located with its contact surface turned downwards and the lacquer applied from below.
