A communication apparatus for providing weather information is provided to detect the weather information of an origination area by using a caller phone number and to print or display the detected information so that a callee can easily recognize a caller's environment. A communication apparatus for providing weather information is comprised of a weather information storage part(100), an origination point detection part(110), an origination point weather detection part(120), a display part(130), and a printer part(140). The weather information storage part(100) stores the weather information of each area. The origination point detection part(110) extracts a local number from a received calling number and detects an origination point. The origination point weather the detection part(120) detects the weather information of the detected origination point from the weather information storage part(100). The display part(130) displays the detected weather information. The printer part(140), in case that the communication apparatus outputs received data, incorporates the detected weather information in printing data. |
