A multi-band radio communication apparatus comprises a radio communication part that transmits a first radio signal of a first frequency band and that receives a second radio signal of a second frequency band different from the first frequency band; a filter connected to the radio communication part for attenuating the first radio signal; a switch for disconnecting the filter from the radio communication part; a communication data determining part for determining the state of communication data transmitted or received via the radio communication part; and a switch control part for activating the switch, based on the state of the communication data determined by the communication data determining part.
