<p>A method of operating a communications terminal of a mobile communications system in which the terminal receives an instruction to enter a mode of operation in which the terminal will transmit without the need for the user to press or hold a key of the terminal. In response to receiving such an instruction, the terminal sends a request to transmit, together with an associated transmission priority setting, which when granted results in the terminal transmitting on the allocated channel without the need for the user to press or hold a key of the terminal. The terminal continues to transmit on this channel in this manner until either an instruction to stop is received, or another user requests to transmit on the same channel with a higher transmission priority setting.</p> |
