PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance separation property from the other paper without damaging the paper in a paper feeding mechanism used for an image forming device or the like. SOLUTION: The paper feeding mechanism is provided with a feed roller 10 which, at least a contact body 12, is formed of a material having plasticity and rotates in a conveying-in direction of the paper; and a retard roller 20 having a plurality of pressure-contact rollers 21 in pressure-contact with the feed roller 10 at a predetermined pressing pressure so as to form a plurality of pressure-contact surfaces 311.
