PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an adhesive film which has exponentially high productivity as compared with a conventional method. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the adhesive film, a thermoplastic polyimide layer is stacked on at least one side of a high heat resistance polyimide layer by a coextrusion-casting method. The high heat resistance polyimide layer contains biphenyl tetracarboxylic dianhydride or its derivative and phenylenediamine as indispensable components, and a chemical dehydrator and a catalyst is contained in a high heat resistance polyimide precursor solution and/or a thermoplastic polyimide-containing solution or a thermoplastic polyimide precursor-containing solution.
