PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device excelling in operability, and allowing an imaging mode of a camera function to be changed over; and a portable terminal with the imaging device. SOLUTION: The camera part (imaging device) 20 includes an imaging lens 21a, and a lens cover 23 opening or covering the imaging lens 21a, and employs a structure having a changeover device changing over an imaging mode from a first mode to a second mode and vice versa by being operatively connected with movement of the lens cover 23 with respect to the imaging lens 21a.
