An induction heating cooker and a control method thereof are provided to perform a minute control by regularly maintaining power consumption calculated based on an input current about an input voltage value. An induction heating cooker includes an input voltage sensing part(200), an input current sensing part(300), a trigger part(530), and a microcomputer(400). The input voltage sensing part detects an input voltage supplied to an inverter circuit. The input current sensing part detects an input current supplied to the inverter circuit. When a resonant voltage generated in the inverter circuit reaches a predetermined voltage level, the trigger part outputs a trigger signal. The microcomputer calculates power consumption after calculating an input current about an input voltage value. The microcomputer controls a pulse width of a switching ON signal after comparing the calculated power consumption with a reference output. |
