PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of appropriately guiding a vehicle to a destination even with map data in which an HOV lane and a normal lane are expressed by one link.SOLUTION: A navigation system comprises: a map data acquisition unit acquiring map data containing data on expressways including an HOV lane and normal lanes; a current position detection unit detecting a current position of a vehicle on the basis of the map data; a route search unit searching a route from the current position or a departure place to a destination on the basis of the map data; a display processing unit generating display data for displaying information for a map indicated by the map data, routes, and guide points; and a control unit controlling the display processing unit to provide an advance preparation guidance to indicate the vehicle to move to a normal lane from the HOV lane if the vehicle is running on the HOV lane and the HOV lane on which the vehicle is running is not one lane. |
