PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of assembling a gas turbine engine 10. SOLUTION: This method comprises a step of connecting an annular exhaust duct 32 to a gas turbine engine, a step of connecting a plurality of chevrons 52 to an annular exhaust duct, and a step of connecting chevron operating systems 70 and 80 to the annular exhaust duct and adjusting a convergence amount of the annular exhaust duct by re-arranging the plurality of chevrons by selectively operating the chevron operating systems.
